Belong

Eph 2:19 says, “You are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” (TLB)

Many have pursued that only to find an atmosphere less than desirable... At WestRock, you’ll find a caring community of believers you can belong with committed to a church environment conducive to the formation of Christian character and integrity, spiritual growth, and lasting relationships, free from the trappings of legalistic religion.

Worship

Ps 89:15: “Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.” (NLT)

The importance of Worship cannot be overstated. It is the most important thing you do or will ever learn to do. It is the highest service you can render God, the basic reason you were created, and one of the most powerful means God uses to bring you closer to Him.

At WestRock, we’re committed to providing an opportunity each weekend for believers to come together and thru music, prayer, encouragement and the Word of God, offer worship to God. Further, there are also several opportunities to “get together” on Sunday evenings for Bible study, fellowship, worship, and ministry in small group settings. These smaller settings allow for more intimate interaction and enable people to get to know one another better. In addition, there are small group bible studies for men, women, teens and children on Wednesday evenings at the church facility at 6:30pm.

Learn

2 Tim 3:16,17 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.” (NLT)

The Bible contains and communicates much more than mere principles for daily living. That’s why at WestRock you’ll find a strong commitment to helping people discover how to study and apply God’s Word for themselves. Our approach is not simply to communicate what the Bible says, but to put the Bible itself in the hands and hearts of people of all ages and backgrounds.

Grow

2 Peter 1:8 says, “The more you go on in this way, the more you will grow strong spiritually and become fruitful and useful to our Lord Jesus Christ.” (TLB)

God’s plan for every believer involves the development and growing commitment of one’s heart and life to God’s purposes. One of the most exciting aspects of WestRock’s Christian educational program is our Discovery Classes. Offered on a rotating basis throughout the year, these classes provide a systematic, step by step process for increasing one’s level of commitment in following Christ. Beginning with an introduction to what it means to be a Christian, these informal classes introduce you (1) to what it means to be a member of WestRock, (2) how to develop positive, life changing spiritual habits in your life, and (3) how to identify and begin using the unique, spiritual gifts God has given you. In addition, you will discover who we are, what we do, and why we do it. Each of these classes are offered in the evenings so that everyone can have the opportunity to take part in them.

A Purpose To Follow

“WestRock Church exists to magnify God by bringing people to Jesus and membership in His church, developing them into His likeness, and equipping them for His service.”

What that means is this...WestRock Church believes that our overarching goal as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to worship God by making and developing followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Addition

Celebration! Sundays - The first Sunday of each month is set aside to welcome new members to WestRock Church. After the conclusion of services, we get together for an awesome lunch and time to just “hang out” together, maybe even throw some horseshoes or play some ball together.

Special Events - Purity retreats for our youth, picnics at the park, luncheons for Grandparents Day, Community Pancake breakfasts, and the yearly “Gathering” are just some of the events going on throughout the year at WestRock.
